Patient Instructions

How to prepare:   Please drink at least two glasses of water

within the hour prior to your appointment and do not empty your

bladder.  Wear loose fitting clothing that will allow your abdomen to

be exposed for the ultrasound examination.

Video Tape & 3D:   We do not videotape examinations.

Our staff will make every effort possible to provide you with keepsake

images. 3-D ultrasound is for diagnostic purposes.  We will not use

this technology routinely on examinations unless clinically required.

Small children:   We do not allow unaccompanied children under 6

years old in the sonogram room.  Our office staff will not be able to

watch your children during the ultrasound.  Please make the necessary

arrangements to have your child supervised at home or at the office.

If they do not have supervision, you will be required to reschedule.

What to bring:    Insurance card, drivers license, pre-authorization

and/or  referral number at the time you sign in.  If you do not have the

necessary information you will need to be rescheduled.

Medical Records:   We only receive medical records from the physician office scheduling your visit.  If you feel that records from other physician(s) are beneficial for us to provide quality care for you and your pregnancy, please make every effort to have them available for us prior to your scheduled visit.

Food:  Please do not bring food to your appointment unless you have a medical condition requiring you to do so.
